Grand Master Chris Thomas

Chris ThomasChris Thomas began studying martial arts in 1970, and forgot to quit.  He has become a world renowned master instructor of pressure point method (kyusho-jitsu), classical Okinawan martial arts (Ryukyu kempo, Isshin-ryu karate, kobu-jitsu), and classical Chinese kung fu (taijiquan).

He is also a widely published writer, whose articles and essays on martial arts have been published around the world.  Chris Thomas and his teacher, George Dillman, have written the definitive books on pressure point fighting.

Testimonial: This is what one long time karate practitioner had to say about Chris Thomas as a teacher: “I would be remiss if I didn't mention Chris Thomas shinshi [a Hogan dialect term, equivalent to the more common Japanese, sensei] (an excellent teacher of Okinawan Isshin ryu [一心流] and Ryukyu Kempo) from whom I learned many techniques and a great deal of technical information on vital points. Far more importantly, I learned from Thomas shinshi's highly effective method of teaching and his remarkable ability explain complex concepts in an accessible manner. Thanks to him, I learned to express ideas with which I was intimately familiar but found difficult to articulate coherently and succinctly (which is to say, I stole as much of his teaching style as I was able).”
